Anger Devotional: Monday, February 8
Begin with prayer asking God to reveal to you anger or bitterness that may be resting in your heart. Remember, "anger poisons the heart and the only remedy is Jesus Christ."
Read Proverbs 14:29: Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly.
Do you think of yourself as a person who is “slow to anger” or are you characterized as a person who “has a hasty temper?” Are you a patient person? If not, pray that God will help you to be more gracious and understanding.
Is there a life situation or a person that causes you to have a “hasty temper?” What is the root cause of that anger?
Pray for that person or situation. Ask God to help you kill the sin of anger that is in your heart.
