We're Launching A Second Service!
It is a an incredible time to be a part of Cornerstone Church! God is so good. Our church has been growing and many lives are being changed. In response to our growth, the leadership of Cornerstone has decided to launch a second service. Beginning Sunday, September 23, our Sunday morning gatherings will be at 9am and 10:45am.
First, Jesus has been using Cornerstone to reach people with His amazing message of love, hope and grace! Over the last year we've experienced 30 baptisms and countless lives changed by Jesus. We want to provide the space and opportunity for more people to experience the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.
Second, two services will maximize our space by relieving the stress we currently experience in the parking lot, kids ministry, sanctuary and lobby. We need more space inside and out and adding a service allows us to create the needed space.
Finally, two Sunday morning gatherings will relieve stress on our volunteers. With two services everyone is able to "attend one and serve one." People love to serve, but they don't want to miss the worship service. We understand that tension. With two services, people can serve and worship without missing either! (By the way, if you're not serving, please get plugged in. Serving is essential to growing as a Christian).
We realize that change can be challenging. One Sunday morning service is simple, and moving to two will demand a greater sacrifice from some of our leaders and volunteers. Our hope and prayer is that many of you who are not currently serving will take advantage of this opportunity to use your gifts and abilities for the glory of God and the benefit of the church!
In response to this exciting opportunity, we'd like to challenge you with these three opportunities. First, pray. Pray for more people to know and grow in Jesus. Pray for our church. And pray for our communities. Second, serve. Please consider "attending one and serving one." Finally, we hope for the first 4-6 weeks 50 people will commit to attending both services.
Thank you so much for being a part of our church!
