When you visit Cornerstone, you can expect to be welcomed into a friendly, encouraging church by people who are genuinely excited to see you. We want you to feel welcome and comfortable during your visit on Sunday, so we've attempted to answer a few common questions. Below is what you can expect on a Sunday morning.
When should I arrive on Sunday mornings?
Our Sunday worship service begins at 10am but we invite you to arrive a few minutes early to enjoy a cup of coffee and meet some of other first time guests and some of our members!
Where should I go?
Our Sunday service is held at 4 Heritage Park Road in Clinton, CT (directions). Every Sunday morning, volunteers will be standing out front of the church to help guide you to the auditorium or if you have children to the Kids Ministry check-in.
Where should I park?
We have reserved several spots in front of the church for our guests. Parking is limited in front of the building. Most of our guests and regular attenders park up and down Heritage Park Road. As the seasons change, we will be establishing a shuttle for convenience, safety and to better serve you.
What are the childcare options?
We love children, so we've designed an enjoyable program for them to learn more about Jesus is a safe and friendly environment. As a parent when you arrive on Sunday morning, you will take your child to the second floor of the church and have them securely checked-in. You will head to the auditorium for the service and your child (nursery - 5th grade) will enjoy an age-appropriate lesson on God. If you have any questions please feel free to contact our Kids Ministry leaders.
What should I wear?
Our Sunday worship service is casual. We're a church for people from all walks of life. Please wear whatever is most comfortable for you. You will find some people that wear t-shirts and jeans while others may wear a collared shirts and pants. Some women join us with make-up on while others don't even bother. Come as you are!
What happens during a Sunday service?
Every Sunday, we sing songs together, we pray, and we hear the Bible preached in a way that is practical and life-giving. Once every three weeks we celebrate communion. And periodically we have people share their "story" in an interview style format. If you're searching for a church, we think you'll love Cornerstone. If you haven't been to a church in quite some time our church will be a non-threatening and inviting place to be!
